• Charter Friends National Network. While CFNN does not exist as an organization anymore, they still have a great library of charter resources to grow the movement. The site provides some great toolkits on charter school accountability plans, business plans, and more.

• US Charter Schools. This site, co-developed by the Charter Schools Project at the Institute for Education Reform and WestEd under contract to the US Department of Education, contains extensive links and resources for charter school developers and operators.

• National Association of Charter School Authorizers - a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes the establishment and operation of quality charter schools through responsible oversight in the public interest. NACSA believes that charter schools can improve public education by increasing educational opportunities for students and educators and increasing educational accountability for all public schools.

• Education Evolving - a new organization dedicated to following evolving elements of K-12 education - the thinking and the policy actions - in Minnesota, in other states, and at the national level and reporting these through traditional printed reports, through conferences and informal meetings, and increasingly through electronic means, including their Web site.

• New American Schools is a leading provider of professional services and investment in K-12 education. As a business-led, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, NAS and its strategic partners provide support to state departments of education, school districts, charter authorizers, and networks of schools, offering key stakeholders the tools and external assistance needed to facilitate and sustain both student and adult learning. New American Schools offers links to several design teams' models of comprehensive school reform including:

• Northwest Regional Laboratory. NWREL provides a variety of services and information regarding charter schools throughout the nation.

• Center for Education Reform. The Center for Education Reform (CER) site keeps close watch on legislative developments in the states and provides good contacts in each of the 35 states with charter school legislation.

• Educational Excellence Network. The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation supports research, publications, and action projects of national significance in elementary/secondary education reform, as well as significant education reform projects in Dayton, Ohio and vicinity. It has assumed the work of the Educational Excellence Network and is affiliated with the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research. (The Foundation is neither connected with nor sponsored by Fordham University.)

• The Center for School Change is a program of the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.

• National Charter School Institute The National Charter School Institute works with charter schools leaders & boards to provide training, policy development, and technical assistance.
