We have for the school year 2007-2008 at Xavier Charter School.

Positions available:

Science/Math teacher - Middle School - preferably with a 6-12 endorsement

Foreign Language teacher - romance languages - Spanish, French, Italian, or German. Two languages would be great. Also a 6-12 endorsement preferred.

Interesting tidbits:

Xavier embraces a classical approach to education implementing the Core Knowledge Sequence K-8 Curriculum pioneered by E.D. Hirsch.

Xavier uses a powerful fine arts program including music, art, theater, and dance/physical fitness.

Xavier follows the Great Expectations Life Principles Model for classroom climate which holds that teachers have positive attitudes, high expectations for students, maintain a climate of mutual respect, and have the knowledge and skills necessary to encourage children to achieve academic and social success. Character pillars such as self-discipline, citizenship, cooperation, perseverance, and respect are explicitly taught.

Xavier's class sizes range from 24 to 33.

Xavier is the first charter school in Twin Falls, Idaho. Twin Falls is a mid-size community surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Hunting, camping, skiing, and many other outdoor pursuits are enjoyed in the Magic Valley area.

We at Xavier believe that life is always enriched when accompanied by a passion to know more. Our motto is Vivere est cogitare! To think is to live!

Please visit our website at www.xaviercharter.org. An accompanying resume would be requested.
