Planned Activities

Elementary Academy

The theme this year for our Elementary Academy is "You don't have to be a Rocket Scientist..."  We will be focusing on fun science activities for summertime.

  • Enrichment of Academic Skills with a focus on Language Arts, Science, and Foreign Language

  • Summertime Science: Weather, Astronomy, Rocketry, Camping/Survival Skills, Kitchen Science (scientific process)

  • Composing Campfire Stories

  • Computer Instruction

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Swimming Lessons (provided by the BSU Department of Kinesiology as part of their regular Summer Youth Program)

  • Field Trips

  • Visits to the Boise Public Library

Middle-Level Adventure Program

The students in this program are on the move each day from the moment they arrive until the end of the day!  Students must be able to ride several miles each day on their bicycle in order to participate in this program.

  • Biking--Students use their own bicycle every day for transportation to each of their activity locations.  A bicycle lock and extra bicycle tube are required for participation in the Middle-Level Adventure Program.

  • Indoor Rock Climbing

  • Roaring Springs

  • The Ropes Course

  • Whitewater Adventures

  • Trail Biking
