Educational Neglect

Funded by the federal Children’s Justice Act through Idaho’s Department of Health and Welfare, the Educational Neglect project focuses on three goals; 1) conducting a national policy review, 2) assessing the presence and extent of educational neglect in Idaho, and 3) presenting policy options for Idaho policymakers. Educational neglect occurs when students do not receive an education. At this time, Idaho has no policy addressing neglect and no mechanism for monitoring educational neglect among our children.
