Rosie Santana is a professional development specialist/consultant who works at Boise State University Center for School Improvement & Policy Studies.  She works in partnership with the State Department of Education providing literacy and instructional coaching training to the leadership teams of school districts involved with Reading First.  Reading First was initiated by Title VI-B U.S. Department of Education, Rosie provides technical assistance to fifteen Southwest Idaho Reading First Sites. Rosie is also a professional development trainer who specializes in literacy development, instructional coaching and sheltered English instruction.  She has been a trainer of the SIOP model since 2002 providing school or district trainings on the working with English Language Learners.
