Sam Strother is a consultant and researcher for the Developing Mathematical Thinking Project.  He graduated from Boise State University with a BA in Elementary Education in 2004 and will have an MA in 2008.  He is currently an adjunct professor of Elementary Mathematics Methods at the Boise State.  He studied musical performance at the Collective of New York prior to entering the field of education.  His professional goals are to improve the quality of elementary math instruction and support both pre-service and in-service teachers in that pursuit.  In his free time he enjoys traveling with his wife, watching his stepson play football, and playing the electric and acoustic bass.
