Elementary-Level Academy
Elementary Academy students participate in the enrichment of academic and computer skills, arts and crafts instruction, and various physical activities. Daily swimming instruction is provided by the BSU Department of Kinesiology as a part of their regular Summer Youth Program. All academic, computer, and arts and crafts instruction is provided by BSU Summer Academy staff and emphasizes project-based learning and individual attention. This year's theme will focus on Inventions and Scientific Advances. To complement these instructional experiences, children participate in field trips and weekly visits to the Boise Public Library. Heide Fry, an elementary school educator from the Meridian School District, is returning as our lead teacher.
Middle-Level Adventure Academy
Middle-level Adventure Academy students enhance academic skills through engaging in a variety of adventure-based activities. Students use their own bikes as a main mode of transportation and are away from campus most of the day. Activities to look forward to this year are: geocaching, swimming, a water life-saving course, indoor rock climbing, Roaring Springs, a ropes course to build trust and team unity and whitewater adventures. Students will also partake in trail biking, group sports, and other various activities.
