National Board for Professional Standards

Originally funded by the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Project assists Idaho teachers in obtaining national board teaching certification. The Center assists the work of this project by supporting Idaho teachers with training and resources as they work toward the National Board Certification and by awarding one scholarship per year to an Idaho teacher working through the National Board Certification process. With a success rate that exceeds 82%, this program  has provided assistance to 60 Idaho educators who have completed National Board certification.
