The CSI&PS partners with the State Department of Education to facilitate professional development opportunities for Idaho school administrators. The PAL design is simple and yet extremely effective. Building leadership capacity in school administrators is a complex task.
The structure of this program is designed to create a community of learners through five main components:
- Ongoing review of current research,
- Face-to face meetings,
- Monthly coaching,
- School instructional reviews, and
- Surveys of enacted curriculum.
This project provides administrators, instructional coaches, and teacher-leaders with professional development opportunities to enhance their leadership capabilities through book study, onsite coaching, instruction in standards-based lesson planning and assessment, and data-based decision making.
